![]() ![]() Sure, missing out on the pre-order, buying the season pass and STILL having to make a separate purchase for Eliza is the dickiest of moves, but at the very least she isn't forever locked on some fancy piece of paper.įrom the little I remember from the Until Dawn situation, apparently some people who got the digital version free from PS+ got that piece of DLC included, but there are also many who say they didn't. ![]() Imagine if they pulled this stunt with Darkseid in Injustice 2 or Eliza in Tekken 7, the fighting game community would tear those companies a new one. Or better yet, let the early adopters enjoy their pre-order goodies exclusively for a few months and then release it to everyone else as a gesture of goodwill. My question is: Why? They could very simply take their already developed "DLC", slap a two or three dollar price tag on it and make some free money through the folks who got late to the party but still want to check out those extras. Same old, get your pre-order, get your awesome alternative instrumental soundtrack DLC. Once again, unavailable for download to this day. Bought it physical? Hopefully you've received your pre-order code with your order, but many claimed that they never got any code, while for others it simply didn't work. ![]() Once again, pre-order shenanigans, get your exclusive Van-Über ship DLC and a couple more extras. Also, it is already on the disc, the code is simply an unlock key. Is it a huge loss? Not really, most folks agree that it is a very small story chapter with a bit of extra character development that doesn't add that much to the overall plot, but it is still a small chunk of content that got locked out of your game with no other way to access it. Want to experience that part of the game today? Either buy an expensive pre-order code of eBay or watch it on YouTube, other than that you are fresh out of luck. That's all fine and dandy, unless you were unable to pre-order the game during that time or got the "Extended Edition", which is basically the same game with that code included. For those who don't know, it had a bonus DLC offered for those who pre-ordered, which was basically a little extra story surrounding the characters Emily and Matt. I first took notice of it when Until Dawn came out. This topic has been on my mind for a long time, but with the release of Mega Man 11, I think it is something that is worth discussing. ![]()
